    Reizigers die zich onderdeel willen voelen van de bijzondere historische stad van Matera kunnen hier met een gerust hart terecht. Midden in de Sassi ligt het mooi verbouwde appartement dat tegelijkertijd alle gemakken bevat. Bij aankomst zijn wij verwelkomd door Giovanni, die ons vooraf ook een mooie lijst van restaurants en bezienswaardigheden had toegestuurd. Daar hebben wij tijdens ons verblijf goed gebruik van gemaakt. Giovanni is uiterst vriendelijk en professioneel en beantwoordde geduldig al onze vragen over deze bijzondere plek. Als gastheer is hij is 'hands off', en dat ervaarden wij als positief. Hij is bereikbaar voor vragen en problemen en instructies om het appartement te laten schoonmaken. Matera bevat ongelofelijk mooie uitzichten, talloze restaurants en een bijzondere geschiedenis om te ontdekken. Dankjewel Giovanni, en hopelijk tot een volgende keer.

    Matera is geen stad voor beginners en kan een uitputtingsslag zijn voor ouderen of reizigers met een minder goede conditie. Het appartement is met zware koffers ook lastig te bereiken. Maar dat is nu eenmaal de realiteit van deze stad en natuurlijk geen kritiek over deze accomodatie.

    Great location and atmosphere. Tough parking as you can only access it by foot.

    Loved the location and whole cave experience.

    Very difficult to find parking and then go back and forth from where you park.

    A typical Sassi house with charming decor, located on the upper edge.

    A typical Sassi house in Matera, with charming decor and excellent taste. The house is very well located on the upper edge of the Sassi, just a 5-minute walk from the car park, and there is no need to climb or descend more than one flight of stairs to access the house. Everything was impeccably clean and tidy. Excellent communication with the hosts, who personally welcomed us at the house and explained how everything worked.
