  A wonderful stay in a wonderful apartment

  We had a wonderful stay at Casa Matias. The apartment is absolutely beautiful - full of charm, bright, airy and in a perfect location close to many restaurants and cafes in the Old Town. The rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean. The facilities in the apartment are excellent. It was so lovely to come back to a wonderful apartment at the end of a day on the beach. We truly could not fault anything about the apartment.

  location in the old town is perfect - and the house spacious and ideal for groups of 8 people

  we stayed in dec/jan - the house had been empty for some time and was cold - heating is via air con which only covers the bedrooms - the rest of the house remained cold - fine in good weather but in the winter some other heating would be a good also the front door keys/lock is a horror and would be a good idea to change the lock

  The apartment is very spacious, the rooms are comfortable. The location is great - close to cafes and restaurants, and beach, but not too noisy.

  The apartment has an issue with downstairs neighbours complaining about noise due to wooden floors. If you actually plan on spending some time in the apartment (having dinner or lunch there), be prepared that neighbours will not let you do that in peace (calling, threatening with police, etc.) even if you are just having a regular quiet meal with adults. In the end we asked them to call the police, who are familiar with the situation there. It was extra hassle on holidays which I didn't appreciate. If it wasn't for this, we would rate our stay higher.

  I would consider staying there again someday.

  Excellent location. So many available restaurants just outside the apartment door. This is a large apartment with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as the kitchen and living/dining room.

  Issues unlocking the front door from the first time trying to get back into the apartment. A local woman saw us having problems with the door and helped us as well. There were ant issues in the bathroom where the washing machine is but that was resolved once I found a store that sold a powder that killed the ants. No big deal. A little pricey since there was no breakfast included.

  Lovely stay at Casa Matias

  Casa Matias is ideally located in the centre of Lagos. Close to the shops & restaurants, as well as the beach. The appartment is wonderfully spacious and though we only were 4 people we could have easily stayed here with 8 people. The facilities were great; air con in every room, 2 bathrooms, washing machine, dish washer etc. We didn’t lack anything. It was nice we were personally greeted by our host & shown around the beautiful appartment.

  There is a tiny outside area you can make use of, but isn’t suited for sitting outside. However, considering the lively area around it this wasn’t an issue for us.
