    The windows from the bedrooms are a few meters from the bell tower as the crow flies. The bells strike every 15 minutes. They strike for different lengths of time. For example, at 6 in the morning they strike for 3 minutes. Earplugs are available, but they do not help against the loud ringing. Each room is on a different floor. The rooms are connected by a steep spiral staircase. There is no kettle in the kitchen. Water can be boiled in a pot on the gas stove, but there were only two non-working lighters available. There is no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom. The living room is actually a hallway with an entrance door. There is not even a coffee table.
