Unexpectedly good vacation in Lasithi
The apartment was amazing! Really nice and tidy! The hosts contacted as in advance to arrange the best accomodation for our son which we appreciated a lot! The information they offered about the area's highlights were really good as well! The overall experience was great . The location is excellent for visiting different parts of the area!

Des vacances exceptionnelles, dans le calme et la beauté
Nous avons résidé pour la troisième année à Casa Opuntia pendant trois semaines ; et nous reviendrons à nouveau ! Les environs sont magnifiques, les plages à proximité sont nombreuses, superbes et très faciles d'accès (environ 20 minutes en voiture). La maison est fraiche et très fonctionnelle, joliment restaurée récemment et décorée avec beaucoup de soin. Fanis et Niki sont très disponibles et nous accueillent chaque année avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de générosité.

Casa Opuntia is een prachtig gerenoveerd huisje. Het is mooi ingericht met overal kleine details. Wij kwamen binnen en waren sprakeloos. Overal is aan gedacht er ontbreekt niets. En dan de enorme gastvrijheid van Fanis en Niki. Vriendelijke eigenaren die een praatje komen maken en steeds wat lekkers te eten brengen. Voor ons was het erg speciaal dat we bij hun thuis werden uitgenodigd voor een ontbijt met de inwoners van het dorp. Een bijzondere ervaring, waarbij hier ook de gastvrijheid van iedereen voorop stond. Het huisje heeft alles, een woonkamer met fijne bank, een fijn bed, compleet ingerichte keuken met alles wat je dat nodig hebt, een fijne douche en een ruim buiten terras met prachtig uitzicht. Het dorpje is erg klein, er is niet veel te doen, maar binnen 20-30 min rijd je naar boven (Sitia) of beneden naar het strand. En rijd je later terug naar paleisje Upontia. Een huisje waar je je gelijk thuis voelt!

Casa Opuntia is just the best place I've ever stayed in Crete.
The house is amazing and incredibly cozy, in a tiny village with a beautiful view of the valley and the sea. The hosts were so friendly and kind, they gave us fruit, wine and raki, as well as some fresh vegetables. It was a real pleasure to spend some time in this incredible place!
