  Great room, but terrible communication and hostile atmosphere

  The room was fine and clean, and the bathroom was very good and well-maintained.

  Complete lack of check-in instructions. Upon arrival, there was no reception, so we had to ask people sitting outside the building, who did not speak English. They led us to the host. When we finally reached her, she only muttered "room number 2." When I asked where the room actually is and where the keys are, she was visibly annoyed that she had to get up and show us, acting as if it should have been completely obvious. ​I completely understand that someone might not speak English, but the host showed zero interest in using a translation app or making any effort to actually communicate and understand each other. ​When we asked about the grill mentioned in the description, she asked if we had our own wood and what we expected for the room price. It was very unpleasant—she could have simply explained nicely that wood is not included and we need to bring our own. Deciding to drop the grill issue, I asked if there was a frying pan in the kitchen to make dinner. She reacted with visible indignation, shaking her head as if I had asked for unimaginable luxuries. Then she led us to the balcony, pointed to the garden, and told us to "do whatever we want." ​We have visited many guesthouses across Romania and worldwide, and the atmosphere was infinitely more welcoming everywhere else, even in Muslim households. There were also no checkout instructions. ​Summary: While the room and bathroom were very nice, the entire stay we felt treated like unwelcome intruders. Customer service needs a massive improvement.
