We were three adults: one couple and an adult family member exploring family history over four nights. (P.S The main cemetary in town was fascinating.) For us, the top exceptional favourite of this one-bedroom apartment on the third floor is the huge balcony facing three directions with stunning views over the distant mountains leading up to this mountain-top town. The building is new and modern with a small elevator and a good outdoor parking spot, even for an SUV. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, and we valued the washing machine (although we had to Google the instructions). Breakfast in the apartment consisted of many bottles of water in the fridge (Grazie mille!), espresso coffee pods, and various crackers. We were grateful for access to the vacuum cleaner and other cleaning supplies during our stay, as well as other conveniences. The main living space is exceptionally roomy and includes a large open-space kitchen and dining area. The one bedroom is a lovely size with a large flat-screen TV. There is ample storage in closets and drawers. The unit also has one sofa bed tucked away in a very wide hallway. This sofa bed even had its own flat-screen television (although we could not get it to work, unfortunately. Maybe all the cords just need to be plugged in correctly?). This small town is very enjoyable to walk (12 minutes down to the centre, although difficult if you have disabilities). Avoid driving in the town centre unless you have permission to drive in the restricted zones. Enjoy the experience!

Nothing major. The mattresses were not as comfortable as we would have liked, and unfortunately, a storm had knocked out the Wi-Fi. The shower doors were very tight for two overweight people, and I cannot imagine the shower is accessible for disabled individuals. Possible future suggestions for this unit: Add a cheese grater and, if possible, a set of containers on the huge balcony to separate the garbage and the recycling bags. Also helpful might be an accurate paper map showing how to get from the main roads in town to the building? Google Maps was completely misleading (it helped us to search for the nearby Conad Grocery Store first). As I said, nothing major, though. We would happily come back. Leonforte is very charming.
