  We spent a week in this house in early June, and the only things we could have wished for was that we had stayed longer! The views are just spectacular, the pool was good and clean, and the downstairs kitchen was perfect as it enables us to spend a lot of time together outdoors. The house is situated on a hillside with no neighbors, and only the occasional cyclists passing by. Closest village is 2km away, and the biggest nearby town, Peccioli, is 15-20 minutes away by car. We found a small bakery in nearby Ghizzano (4km) where we bought bread several mornings. You definitely need a car to get around! The house was well maintained. The pool area (with two patios and a barbecue) and a kitchen were on ground floor. Going up the stairs, you had five beautiful bedrooms, a kitchen and small living room (which we hardly used as we spent most time downstairs/outdoors),and three clean bathrooms which was perfect for the ten of us (two families of four plus two grandparents). There is no air conditioning, but when we stayed there it was mostly around 25-30 degrees, and the stone house absorbed a lot of the heat, so was still ok to sleep. The outdoor area had a really nice pool, a dart board, a Boule court, a table tennis table (but the balls were to old so had lost their bounce...). There was even a small football pitch, but the surface was not the best so we hardly used it. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming, and came round the house occasionally to check that we were ok. Every day, the pool was cleaned, and they made sure of disposals were taken care of. Contact via WhatsApp was simple and most times you got a quick response to any questions you had. As mentioned, we could easily have stayed longer, and would love to come back some day!

  We had some electrical issues with a circuit breaker. The hosts sorted it, but hope they can permanently fix it.

  Phänomenale Lage der Unterkunft. Die Gastgeber waren mega, wir hatten faktisch tägliche Betreuung, Wünsche unserseits wurden prompt erfüllt

  Idyllic and memories in the making

  Loved the setting. Excellent facilities. Great that our extended family could all stay together with each bedroom having its own bathroom. The pool was a great hit with us all. The owners live 500m away, and we're available for any queries. Lovely barbecue area and summer kitchen. Loved every restaurant we visited, and thank you for those recommended. With life limiting illness, it was amazing to make family memories together. Dubi for cleaning pool every day, thank you. The welcome basket on arrival. The gift of eggs as a present for Mary's remembrance day. Would love to revisit.

  The amount of insects biting outside. Kitchen knives not sharp enough. A few mosquito nets broken in bathrooms.
