  Extremely disappointing

  Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing vacation rentals we've ever stayed in. The host was generally responsive before arrival, but the condition of the home was unacceptable. The house was visibly dirty upon arrival. The floors were filthy, the sink and countertops had stains, dirty dishes had been left out, and there were even used paper towels sitting on the counters. It honestly felt like the bedding had not been washed between guests. By the end of our stay, several members of our family developed skin rashes, which made us question the cleanliness even more. The house was missing many basic necessities. There was no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. The bathroom hand soap ran out within an hour of our arrival, forcing us to spend additional money replacing items that should have been provided. Security was another major concern. The bedroom doors were the only doors that could be locked when leaving the house. Even worse, the main sliding glass door—the only entrance and exit—would not lock at all. We were unable to secure the home while sleeping, which caused a lot of anxiety and made it difficult to rest. When we arrived, the home felt like a sauna. It took several hours for the bedrooms to cool down, while the living room remained extremely hot. After informing the host, we were told to replace the batteries in the remote control. We did, but nothing changed. The following day, while we were away, the host came over and must have repaired the air conditioning, confirming there was an actual issue all along, because once we returned , the living room had cooled down a lot more. We also discovered the hard way that the water supply is bucket-controlled. After I showered, one of my children got in and the water stopped halfway through. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The listing accommodated five guests, yet only three towels were provided.
