    Promises made in person were not honoured, leaving us deeply disappointed.

    We tried calling the telephone number listed on both Booking.com and Google several times before making our booking, but nobody ever answered. During our visit, the owner later confirmed that she had blocked our number, even recognizing it by its last digits ("...444"), explaining that she blocks numbers because she receives many spam calls. When we arrived, the owner initially seemed completely unaware that we had even made a reservation. Because we work remotely, we first tested the Wi-Fi before unloading our luggage. Although our devices connected to the network, there was no usable internet connection. We demonstrated this to the owner within about 15 minutes. The owner acknowledged the issue and agreed that we could leave, assuring us that we would receive a full refund. Relying on that assurance, we immediately booked another accommodation. That promise was later withdrawn. Instead, only a partial refund was offered through Booking.com. When Booking.com asked to speak with the owner we had dealt with, we were told she could not speak English, despite the fact that she had spoken fluent English with us during our visit. Her husband handled all further communication. From unanswered phone calls before booking, to the owner not even expecting our arrival, to a refund promise that was later withdrawn, our experience was one of poor communication and broken commitments. We felt completely misled and cannot recommend this property.
