3/5 Stars | Beautiful castle, but serious communication gaps for the 21st century • Pros: The castle is absolutely gorgeous and full of history. The rooms are beautifully decorated with authentic antiques, the bedding is high quality, and the plumbing is brand new. Also, the restaurant staff were polite, and the birthday cake was exceptional. 🎂 • Cons: The arrival experience was tough. We arrived in a heavy downpour with no help outside. However, the lady from the reception was kind enough to help us carry our heavy bags up the steep stairs. • Safety & Communication Warning: There is absolutely no phone in the room to contact staff. In the 21st century, guests expect a basic line of communication for comfort and, more importantly, emergencies. Hotels should explicitly warn guests about this "experiment" beforehand—if something happens in a vast castle, you are completely on your own. • Room & Dining: The wardrobe is extremely small, and the bathroom lacks any counter space. The restaurant is beautiful, but the kitchen is rigid and strictly refuses simple off-menu requests like a basic green salad or vegetables. Verdict: It is a visually stunning property, but the complete lack of modern communication standards and flexible hospitality makes it a difficult stay.
