    A fun house where the access to basics made the stay significantly less enjoyable.

    This is a delightful, quirky house which made one smile at every step. It was clean and comfortable. The parking area was easily accessible from the house.

    Firstly, there was no hot water as, when we eventually found it, we could not get the immersion heater to switch on. The host helped by video checking the immersion heater and fuses, suggesting we switch on the central heating; this provided hot water for our final morning before departure. Secondly, there was no ‘welcome’ book with instructions about how the equipment worked, where things were (eg. how the hot water was delivered) or how to use them (eg. which bin for what) Thirdly, the overhead shower drips cold water on one’s head when one is using the other shower. I suppose this did not matter too much when the shower was cold anyway! These were the most noticeable challenges.
