Beautiful resort. All aspects exceeded expectations except bar staff on the Lawn and Terrace Bar
Castle Hill is a relaxing resort away from the bustle and crowds of DT. It is steps from a state park that offers opportunities for hiking and relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of Ocean Drive. Housekeeping, Welcome, Breakfast and Mansion bar service was exceptional.
The beautiful Lawn and Terrace staff were rude during the hours people gather to watch the sunset from the Adirondack chairs set up on the lawn. Bar staff on lawn and the Terrace were visibly annoyed with patrons ordering drinks. Once service staff realized we were guests their demeanor would change but the initial treatment left an overall poor impression regarding staff training and or supervision in these areas at and around dusk.

Overall, we found the property delightful and it was very relaxing. We would definitely come back again.
I loved the beach Cottages. We loved sitting out in the chairs on the lawn.
I thought the wait staff could have been a little friendlier. Wait staff did not round often enough outside on the lawn or in the dining areas. Outside bees were also annoying when we were eating. The hostess was condescending to my daughter when she asked where the bathrooms were located.
