Estadia incrível, voltarei assim que puder
Localização excepcional, praticamente dentro do Castelo
Tudo impecável, única observação é a internet estava muito instável e com lentidão, mas não comprometeu em nada a minha viagem

Overall it was comfortable.
The room was comfortable and clean. It had easy access to the bus to take you down the hill to access other transport options.
There wasn’t anything I could be critical of. You have to be aware you are up on a very steep hill area.

Finishes were nicely done, everything you need was in the apartment right down to complimentary packets of olive oil and wine vinegar.
Beds was firm but lots of pillows to choose from. Bathroom was very small. The walls seemed paper thin. I'm surprised to have not read on other reviews anything about the entry door. We spent over an hour trying to get in. There is an old key box under the sign for the Castle Inn which we tried to put our code into. It wasn't until we contacted the owners that we were directed to another keypad on the opposite side of the door ( which we had tried earlier, with no success) that we realized we really had to press firmly to activate the keypad. We agree that the area is very quiet until somebody enters and let's the door and magnetic lock slam behind them. This could be an isolated event as there was somebody from another apartment who let the door slam everytime they entered or exited during our stay. I concur with all the other reviews citing the cobblestone streets and difficulty with luggage and inaccessibility of taxis/ vehicles into the historic area. I wouldn't take rolling luggage anywhere in Portugal. It is a beautiful location, however be prepared for the up and down the hill as there is nothing except the castle in the historic district. Value for money, very small and not the location I expected.
