Nice spot between Portland and Bay Area for travelers!
Safe, great bed, lovely redwood tree park area for relaxing with soft lights in the evening. I stayed in the refurbished motel room and it was well done.

Extremely comfortable and pleasant.
The facility had a great vibe. The remodeling was done tastefully and interior decor was of a much higher quality than expected.
Everything was great!

All the staff were very friendly. The common spaces were very nice. The location was perfectly center to all major sights and attractions. Private hot tub was great after a long day of being out and about. We stayed at the Lookout unit and it was definitely worth it. I could stare out at that view all day and pretty cool to be able to see it whilst in the hot tub as well. Loved the privacy and space was comfortable. Perfect for a family or group of 4. So close to Hedgecreek falls you could walk there. Also close to Tauhindali park for great fishing and hiking along the river. Yaks is just down the street and definitely worth stopping to grab a bite there. This location was 1hr from Burney Falls and Shasta Caverns - so a bit of a trip, but worth it especially if you're making a day of going to waterfalls and the also stopping at Castle Cragg. So enjoyed our stay, we already want to go back and bring more people.
The beds are a bit on the hard side. Not the most comfortable, but not noticeable when you are completely tired out from the day. The couch, while very pretty, was also slippery. Maybe if you sit all the way back you won't slip off or maybe wear a material that isn't too soft.
