    Serious safety issue

    Parking by the appartment

    We booked this new apartment because it seemed perfect for traveling with our small child: modern, outside the busy city center, and with parking. At first sight the apartment looked nice, but unfortunately our stay turned into a very stressful experience. On the day of arrival the air conditioning was already broken. More importantly, the door system only worked through a phone link – no physical key was provided. On our second evening the door system failed and we were literally locked inside the apartment with our child. It took 2.5 hours before a technician arrived to open the door. From a safety perspective this is absolutely unacceptable – imagine if there had been an emergency. The next day we decided to leave, as we had a night flight and did not want to risk being locked in again and possibly missing it. We asked the property for at least one night’s refund, given that we lost an entire evening being trapped inside. Unfortunately, they refused any compensation. This shows a complete lack of responsibility and empathy from the owners, putting money over guest safety and wellbeing. I would strongly advise families – or anyone concerned about safety – to avoid this property.
