    We didn’t stay as double booked by host!

    We only saw the property from the outside as was double booked - the outside looked ok though!

    That we couldn’t stay as someone was sleeping in the house already. Mike called to say we was double booked and that he was trying to sort it out and would call back in 20 mins, an hour later he hadn’t called so I had to call him! He offered no alternative or explanation as to how it had happened that we was double booked. Left us in a stressful situation 2 hours before we was due to arrive. Mike told me to cancel online however this was going to cause me to loose 50% of the fee, he should have cancelled it at his end which means we would have had a refund instantly. Instead I had to complete an online claim then phone call, wait for them to confirm that I wasn’t lying before they could eventually agree to refund me, which will take 7-10 days, leaving me out of pocket, until that arrives back, for the additional stay I have had to pay for. We then used Airbnb and found a nicer cheaper alternative with a much nicer more reliable host!
