    Unable to access our booked accommodation and received no assistance when needed

    Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. I originally booked this motel on Monday and paid the required 50% deposit. For some reason, the remaining 50% was not processed, and the booking was cancelled. As soon as I became aware of this, I contacted the property through the Booking.com app, apologised, explained that I was travelling from Sydney, and advised that I was happy to make payment immediately. I received no response. To avoid any issues, I then made a new booking for the Friday and Saturday nights. Prior to arrival, I sent another message through the app advising that we would be arriving slightly after 11:00 pm due to the drive from Sydney. Again, I received no response. When we arrived, there was no reception, only a self check-in kiosk. Despite trying multiple combinations of the reservation ID, surname and booking details exactly as provided, the kiosk would not recognise our booking. The property advertised 24/7 assistance, so I called the mobile number displayed on-site three separate times. Each call went straight to voicemail, and nobody returned my call that night. As a result, we were left stranded late at night and had no option but to find alternative accommodation, resulting in additional unexpected expenses and significant inconvenience. What was most frustrating was that the property did not return my call until approximately 2:30 pm the following afternoon, long after we had been forced to make other arrangements. Mistakes can happen, but the complete lack of communication, the failure of the check-in system, and the absence of any after-hours support despite advertising 24/7 assistance made this an extremely disappointing experience. I would not stay here again.
