    Gorgeous cottage!

Beautiful comfortable accomodation! Loved staying here, the cottage is beautifully furnished and clinically clean. Beds are super comfy, with gorgeous linen the kitchen is amazing and lacks nothing at all. The bathrooms are superb with lovely soft towels! Set in beautiful tranquil countryside. Parking is perfect. The decor was fabulous - whoever chose the soft furnishings and all the touches has certainly got an eye! Kitchen very well equipped as well as the separate utility space. Great to have the downstairs loo. Loved the second sitting room which was super cozy. Such a peaceful setting with walks close by and we loved exploring Newby Hall. It was really clean and so homely. I actually thought it was the kind of cottage I could live in all the time!

There was nothing to dislike. I guess a loo in the ensuite would be a bonus but it certainly did not detract from the wonderful time we had.

A spacious and comfortable rural retreat.

Chantry Cottage is splendidly located on the Newby Hall estate just a few miles outside Ripon. We reached it by driving along a private road lined with trees and then between fields of barley. On the nearby wetland we saw herons and egrets while swallows perched on the telephone lines as we walked from the carpark. The cottage was immaculately presented and fully equipped - the kitchen/diner and separate laundry room have premium appliances. There are two 'lounges' - the smaller of which we used as a 'morning room'! The main bedroom/ensuite is large the other 'double' less so but quite acceptable. The third bedroom has a 'large single' and a fine view from the window. There are excellent power showers and also a large bath in the family bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. On arrival we were welcomed by Shanie and she was easily contactable if needed during the stay. Chantry Cottage is the ideal location for an extended stay in the Ripon area as it has everything one needs.

The slow rural broadband was occasionally frustrating and it must be highly annoying to people living there permanently. But it worked!
