Fell short of expectations.
The location was great. Walking distance to all the popular sights. The host was very responsive.
The apartment was more rundown than the photos showed. Peeling paint, sagging couch and beds, rickety closets, old pillows, etc. A lot of these things seemed fixable with the right amount of care and willingness to invest. The host basically told us not to submit a review unless we were rating the place a perfect 10. I feel like we made the booking with incomplete information, if other guests were persuaded to leave more positive reviews than was warranted or didn’t leave reviews at all.
