Beautiful chateau, shame about the food.
The location is spectacular. The building is absolutely beautiful. We had a lovely bedroom with terrace and views across the Tarn. Lovely gardens with outdoor pool which unfortunately I didn’t use.
I had two major issues I’m afraid with the hotel. Firstly was having a room with a bath and no plug. I understand if there are water restrictions in the area, but if I knew I had to kneel in a cold bath to wash under the shower I would not have stayed here. I would have found a hotel with a nice shower. I should have been made aware of this beforehand. Dinner. After having spent ten days eating in various restaurants on my journey through France I am sad to say that the dinner here was the most expensive and by far the worst. Service was average but the flavour combinations were bordering on the bizarre. The cheese was by far the best course.
