    Don’t book it - traumatised me with guns and still not seen a penny back

    Didn’t find anything to like about it as I wasn’t able to stay there after the first night due to it being raided by the armed police!

    After staying there the first night I was woken up by banging on the front door, only to open it and have armed police in full gear and massive rifles storm into my room and knock down the surrounding doors with battering rams. They told me nothing about what was happening, searched through all my belongings and took my passport! Held me up there for a couple hours while searching the other two rooms also owned by the same people. They already had investigators with gloves on ready to come search who mentioned my stuff being looked through as it was “his property” once they’d gone I left to call my family before returning to find them back again. Due to this I felt so unsafe and scared as I was travelling on my own as a young girl so I booked to stay elsewhere and had to pay loads extra for that. After speaking to booking.com, they said the property claimed there was a report of an attempted break in and so police responded (not believing that for a second! A full squad of investigators and armed police with riot gear and massive guns don’t storm a building for a simple break in, plus they were definitely looking for something). I was also promised a full refund for my booking totalling £179.39 meant to be in my account within 2 weeks. That was back on 15/07/26, it’s now 06/08/26 and still had nothing!! I wouldn’t trust this property with a single penny of your money!!

    Very good

    Great location, close to the Old Town and supermarket, and conveniently situated on the ground floor.

    The bed linens could benefit from being renewed
