    Cosy van

Lovely caravan, hot tub clean and warm, good size rooms, great location for our walks, cosy in caravan, nice shower, clean, had essentials like toilet rolls which was great as I forgot. Plenty kitchen utensils.

Couch was uncomfortable, and for a van that sleeps 6 only 1 couch, there is a nice dining area and stools at breakfast bar but could do with more seating, for a couple of nights was okay but bed springs very uncomfortable in main room.

    Nice location

    The location Clean Comfy bed

The hot tub lid was too big so the condensation was leaking out. That ment there wasn’t enough water in the tub to use it as the jets were spraying everywhere and wasn’t safe. The sofa has seen better days it wasn’t comfy at all. We left a day early due to not being able to use the hot tub disappointed

    Clean and a nice site

We couldn’t use the hot tub as it had polystyrene bits floating bin it from the broken lid. The sofa was so uncomfortable it needs replacing

    Home from home

Beautiful place, had everything we needed and very close to bamburgh, Alnwick and lots of other interesting places, had a issue with the pull out bed in sitting room, a member of the team helped us out with it, so didn't use it again, that was the only problem we had, hot tub was really good, would recommend kids really enjoyed it also.lovely welcome pack when we first arrived also.

The pull out bed in sitting room isn't attached properly, I should of let them know but been very poorly, it slipped my mind because we only tried to use it once

Lodge great, hot tub not so

The lodge itself was a lovely lodge in a quiet location, with close access to the golf club for food and drink. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. A couple of comments, not negative, but just to make others aware. The oven only had one shelf, with 2 small cooking trays, so, maybe take your own. There was washing up liquid, which looked like it had been left by others, but no cleaning utensils. We bought some and left them behind. Other lodges ive stayed in, have a welcome pack with these items. This did not. The sofa only seats 3, so if 4 go, some ones on a chair or stool. There was only left over tea/coffee, so again, take your own.

The hot tub - which, as we were doing a mighty hike, this was the main reason we booked the lodge. When we arrived the lid was not in the best state, upon messaging the owners, they explained that the damage had been done by the previous guests. To which they apologised for not texting, as they had been busy. We later found out it had been like that a few weeks. The lid being damaged meant bugs, leaves, twigs and bits of the lid itself were in the hot tub. Did not make for a great experience. The general look of the outside area was not pleasant, there were weeds everywhere, the outdoor shower didnt work, the table was rotten and the wall was green with muck. We had issues with the heating, to which again, give the owners credit they were quick to reply and try to remedy, even sending the cleaner to look. The only remedy after the cleaner had left, was for us to replace the batteries in the hive control, even though i had explained to the owners this was flat. So, my advise, is make sure you have 4 AA batteries, just incase it happens to you. Also, the window catch in the main bedroom was broken, so the night we had no heating, that room was baltic. We did message the owners about this, but they never replied.
