  Superb location, comfortable and clean rooms with the best host ever!

  Chilboa House is in a perfect location, close to restaurants and shops in upper Ragusa but also within 20 minutes walk of the beautiful Ragusa Ibla. The house has beautiful bedrooms , all ensuite, with very comfy beds and exceptionally clean. The kitchen has lots of equipment including a coffee maker (with coffee pods included) and a washing machine - which was very useful for us. We did not use the pool as it was out of season but we enjoyed taking breakfast down to the garden which has gorgeous views over the limestone valley. The host, Davide, was in communication all the time and basically made our stay so lovely. On arrival he had saved two parking spaces right outside the apartment and then gave us lots of local information. He advised us on where to eat and sent locations - our two favourites were and Pane e Cipudda in Ragusa and Farm Magazze which was a 20 minute drive away and specialised in products made from buffalo, including mozarella and ice cream! He also gave us advice on where to get a punctured tire mended - taking the stress out for us. He is by far, the best host we have ever had.

  Great host, property has some size limitations

  The host, Davide, was terrific, he was full of information and very helpful, and responded to any queries immediately. The pool area is great, however it is over the road from the property itself and appears to be attached to the hosts home. The property has 5 bedrooms and each has its own bathroom, TV and air conditioner. The washing machine worked well. The property was clean and tidy. The property location is great, there are great views from the pool area and it is close to everything - supermarket, restaurants, cafes, busses and is close enough to Ibla to walk. We utilised the pool area when the weather allowed and it is a great area, however there are a lot of mozzies so be prepared with repellent! I have rated the property as 'good' (7/10), as it is a good property rather than exceptional. If I was rating Davide only, I would give him a 10/10!

  Although the property is 5 bedrooms, it is over three levels and is very small with only a small kitchen as a common area. The pool area is across the road from the property itself. There's no living room other than the outdoor space near the pool across the road, so for a family of 6 it was very small/squishy which wasn't really obvious in the photos. There is a small office in the entryway that is essentially dead space that cannot be utilised. The bedding is a bit tired and could do with an update, there was a musty smell on the bottom floor and I had to hold up our shower head with a piece of elastic band (along with the screw already piercing the shower head sliding mechanism). Shower heads in two of the other rooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) also fell down when used. There is also limited space to dry clothes. We used a clothes horse in the kitchen and it took up most of the kitchen area.

  We had a wonderful stay at Chibao House. The location is excellent and made it very convenient to explore the area. But what made our stay truly special was the owner. He was incredibly warm, kind and attentive throughout our entire stay. He always made sure we had a parking space, and was happy to recommend the best places to eat, beautiful beaches to visit, and share helpful local tips. We are truly grateful for his hospitality and for making us feel so welcome and well taken care of. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay ❤️
