  Yes, there are rats

  Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this accommodation. My reservation was until September 10th. On September 8th, I found a rat inside the property and immediately contacted the host. The host was not particularly proactive in dealing with the situation, and I had to put considerable pressure on them before they arranged pest control. The most concerning part is that there was already a previous review mentioning rats at this property, yet apparently nothing had been done to prevent the problem from happening again. I have a message from the accommodation itself confirming that pest control would be carried out. I have also attached a photo of the notice left regarding the treatment, which required me to stay outside the property while it was being carried out. Because of this situation, I had no choice but to find alternative accommodation for the remainder of my trip. Booking.com arranged an early check-out for September 9th, but the refund only covers the night of September 9th. The night of September 8th, when I actually found the rat and could no longer reasonably stay in the property, was not refunded. I honestly do not understand the logic behind this — was I expected to spend that night sleeping in the property with a rat inside? I also contacted Booking.com hoping they would help resolve the situation, but unfortunately their intervention was very limited and did not provide a satisfactory solution to the problem or compensate me for the additional accommodation I had to arrange. I understand that unexpected problems can happen, but finding a rat inside an accommodation is a serious hygiene and safety issue. When there is also a previous review mentioning rats, followed by another incident and the need for pest control, it is difficult to consider this an isolated or minor inconvenience. If you are considering staying here, please be aware that rats have been reported at this property and that pest control was required during my stay.

  Rats in the courtyard!

  Location

  There was no hot water in the flat. The flat’s owners promised to refund 20 per cent of the cost to make up for the inconvenience. However, they never did. I had to contact Booking.com’s customer support, who helped resolve the situation. There was a rat running about in the back courtyard, and there were dead cockroaches lying around. The fridge was very noisy; it was impossible to sleep. The whole flat stank of sewage. I strongly advise against staying here.
