Perfect location and little house, but the cleanliness was not very good.

    Perfect situation.

Cleanliness Wish we had been told about the church clock chiming all night

    To be avoided!!

I do not have enough words to describe how bad this was. Not properly cleaned- see attached photos (human hair, animal hair all over, dirty toilet and toilet seat, dirty floor, dirty floor under the sofa and bed, dog treats under the bed), the bed was very uncomfortable, it was bending in the middle and your legs and head were constantly higher than the rest of the body. The worst of all was the mold smell which was present in all the areas and was very strong. We have kept all of our clothes in our bags but still after returning home everything smells like mold, even my hair although already washed once. Honestly it was torture to sleep and stay there, we had to eat everything outside because inside it was not possible due to the smell. We kept all the windows opened for as long as we were there, but there were no improvements. We have to wash everything now due to the smell, even or luggages, even the clean clothes which were never taken out of the luggage. We tried to find solutions for leaving, unfortunately we could not afford it as we already payed 880 euro for 5 nights for this cottage and chances for a refund were probably zero. Cotswolds is very busy and the only accommodations we found were also very expensive. It definitely ruined our vacation and I will write about this situation to booking. The mold in this accommodation is a health hazard, for sure. The bathroom is very very small and church bells are ringing every half an hour, but this would have been manageable if not for the smell. What we liked: Blockley is a lovely village and the position of the cottage is good.
