Ongoing AC issues & unit completely dying & not being addressed properly made for an extremely miserable stay in
The house itself was fine, plenty of room, kid proof, location was good & convenient to family & amenities. We enjoyed the pool the one time we used it to cool off from the sweltering heat inside the house. Wish there were had been some kind of lights to swim at night.
Air conditioning was malfunctioning from the time we arrived & not cooling properly. It was 76 degrees when we arrived at 2:45 & despite lowering it had only dropped slightly after 5 hrs while we ran errands. Granted we understood it was the heat of the day & very hot outside. Prior to leaving we turned every ceiling fan on full blast to help move the air. We contacted the maintenance line about 7:45-8 & received a call from Mike Z about 9 pm & he sent a maintenance person out to “look at it” while we were picking up remaining family at the airport. It felt slightly cooler when we came back about 11:30 pm. We were notified maintenance said the lines were not frozen up & had registered blowing temps of 56-58 degrees which there was no way. When we finally got to bed it was tolerable registering 73 degrees even though he had set the thermostat to 72. Saturday morning it was still at 73 when we left around 9 for a family event. We also discovered that morning the main bath water would not warm up so we took cold showers & I had to rinse soap from my hair in the kitchen sink. We were eventually advised (Sunday) the faucets were reversed & had to run about 45 seconds before it would warm. Water in the master was actually scalding hot. When we returned to the house around 4:30 it was 76 degrees & miserable trying to get ourselves & toddlers ready to go to dinner. At that time I tried calling 2-3 times what I thought was the maintenance line but got no answer so sent an email. When we returned a couple hours later around 7:15-7:30 it was 77 so I called the correct maintenance number & gave them all the information & they said they would place an emergency call. I got a text shortly after from Mike saying he was sorry he missed my calls & was there anything he needed to know. I advised we were having ongoing issues & I had just talked to someone.
