Awful management and customer service
On the 2nd night of our stay the LPG bottle for hot water ran empty. There was meant to be a “back up bottle” - which after ringing property management hotline (Bachcare), we were instructed to check and confirmed that it’s also empty. At the same time, a fuse also jumped and cause partial power loss in the lower level bedroom, which failed to be switched on again. No alternative or resolution were offered, nobody were sent to check, we were basically told to deal with it because “it’s after 5pm on a Sunday”. The staff promised gas delivery can only be arrange the next morning. When we protested, lady on the phone hung up on us. We then tried to contact the property via booking.com messaging system but got no response at all. By the time we check out at 11am the next morning, the problem was still not fix, nor no communication from Bachcare as promised. As a group of 9 adults and 3 children-1 being toddler, having no hot water and partial power loss for heating made our stay very uncomfortable. What’s more appalling is the way property management handled the situation. All our communication was ignored until we raised a complaint directly with booking.com, yet no resolution has been offered. It’s a shame having a holiday home ran so badly that you failed to provide such basic amenities, and not having the competency across your team to deal with the situation.

Perfect stay at Wharewaka⁸
The whole house was perfect for our family of 12, big enough for us to retreat to our own areas for a bit of peace, perfect dining and kitchen for big family breakfast and dinners. We absolutely loved it. Thank you
Was unable to unlock the sliding door on arrival, key turned but wasn't unlocking. Also a toilet would have been cool for upstairs, but those are really just minor minor problems.

Lots of parking space
The lights under the carport wasn't working, making it difficult the manage stuff on the trailers we had.
