An otherwise pleasant stay marred by bad parking advice from different staff members.
Great location and comfortable rooms.
The staff provided incomplete and inaccurate information about parking options. I asked them about parking as soon as I checked in and they NEVER told me that there was unlimited free parking a couple of streets away. As a result I had to reload machine paid parking every 3 hours at first in person, then on an unreliable downloaded app which would not reload more than 1 3-hour period and then with a card left on my dashboard which needed to be readjusted in person. (Each of these methods was suggested by different staff members.) Because I was on day tours to the Normandy beaches and Mont Saint Michel, paying in person was impossible. I would have paid gladly for 24 hours or longer but that was not an option. I’m now waiting to see whether the car rental company charges me for one or more parking tickets in Bayeux. (Tickets are sent later to the person associated with the car’s license plate.)
