One night in Swansea
The location was suitable for our needs. There were some items in the fridge which were useful. The room was tastefully decorated. Kate was very helpful with a tv volume issue which we fixed together. We were given complete privacy even though the room was in the backyard.
The photos were cleverly shot in the ad. The accommodation was a small fibro shack from the outside.It is more like a granny flat. Inside the room was tastefully decorated but not the most practical. There are no ceiling lights in the main room above the bed. The only light is on the wall in the hall/ entry. Thankfully the room was small so the light didn't need to spread far. The room was much smaller than expected. The bathroom was huge and modern and beautiful; it was more than we needed. The space in the bathroom could have been better used around the bed/living. The place was advertised as a b & b. There was a loaf of bread in the freezer, lite milk and juice in the fridge with some other items and cereal layered together in a container; conflakes on top, rice bubbles in the middle and some other cereal at the bottom. Not sure what I would have done had I wanted a cereal other than cornflakes. Did not want to use the open container of cereal anyhow. Tried to have toast but there was only one flat plate, the rest were bowls and mugs and wine glasses which were not needed by us. Decided to use the spa as the stay was part of our 30th wedding anniversary. It stopped filling part of the way even though the tap was on. Somehow my husband was able to fix this and finally got it filled. There was little black bits of scum which came out of a fitting on the spa, not sure if it was a filter or a jet return? Looks like it needs a good clean, whatever it is. Then found there was no bath soap/ bubble bath or whatever you use for a spa anyway. There was also no soap in the shower although there was shampoo and conditioner. The wifi signal was weak and the tv could not cope. At some point in the night the tv lost wifi for the rest of the night so we didn't get to finish what we were watching. I found the pillows low and soft for my liking. The bed was small and not the most comfortable. There was only a bottom sheet and a quilt.
