Beautiful property, but disappointing due to supples/cleanliness/up keep, especially for the price

Great location, and a lot of space for large group

House was not clean. Oil dripping from range hood. Outside tables not cleaned. Grill not cleaned. Beds were incredibly uncomfortable, extremely hard where none of us really had a good night sleep the entire holiday. While I understand that beds come in carious comfort levels, the extreme firmness of all the beds in the house that the entire group noticed after night one was problematic. Given the cost of this house, I would expect to have comfortable beds to sleep in so that the holiday could be more relaxing and refreshing. Supplies were also limited: only 2 teaspoons, no hand towels for all the bathrooms, cookware old and some pieces old and need to be replaced (2 fry pans with coating worn off). Outside grounds not completely kept up; large hedge on driveway was overgrown and hitting cars as you drove down it.

Fab venue for a quiet getaway !

The property was very nice, plenty of space. We were a group of friends and we had a wonderful time, the bathrooms and bedrooms were lovely. Hot tub was nice too.

The conservatory is like a board room and wouldn't appeal to a family & friends getaway, The cooking facilities are great but lack of utensils and cutlery, a good re stock is needed to accommodate for at least 12 guests. No kindling, firewood or lighter was available for the fireplaces. The biggest problem was the internet - it was non existent. Even after BT and a local workman showed up to rectify the problem. We couldn't use the music system available or watch TV. The outdoor area needs a bit of a tidy up, some garden maintenance around the house.

A magical place in a beautiful location

Self catering, so the breakfasts were of course delicious. The location was truly magnificent. Beautifully set in tranquil surroundings and surrounded by over 30 acres of gardens and woodland with a stream running through. The house itself was lovely with spacious and well furnished accommodation and beautifully fitted kitchens & bathrooms. The perfect place to relax, drink some wine, play some music and chill out. And we did all of those things. We could well be back next year.

What was there to dislike? The only minor thing I noticed was that the shower tray in our ensuite was quite slippery when the top shower was on.
