  A monument to corporate greed

  Location is not bad, with direct access to the airport and a tram that reaches some parts of the city. The staff were doing an impossible job of running the reception, the bar, luggage and cleaning all at the same time and being absolute angels while managing this impossible environment.

  A while ago I remember stumbling on a marketing video of a hotel chain gleefully explaining how they stripped rooms bare and put a sink and a crapper in the middle of the room for you to walk around so that they can fit more rooms in a building and thinking I would never stay in such place. Sadly I was mislead by the ratings to book this attrocity. If you want to experience the full depth of corporate greed, this is your place. Open the door be greeted by a crapper. You can't even get to the bed in a straight line, you have to navigate between the crapper, the sink and the shower conveniently located to make you never forget they are there. Travelling together with a partner or a child? Make sure to pay double to book them a separate room, otherwise you would be reduced to defecating in their full view - the semi-transparent glass doesn't spare the 360 view, sounds, or smells - there isn't really nowhere to hide. The shower is even worse, it's full 360 transparent. Maybe you come from the culture where parents shower without hesitation in front of their children but my pre-teen children don't shower in front of me. Convenience? Forget about it. There isn't even space for a suitcase, no place for your stuff. Feels like the designers were so full of themselves and had so little regard for the guests they expected you to keep your things on the floor in heaps. No shelves, not even a place to put something around the sink. You are not even given a glass - scoop up the water with a hand, that's what you paid €140 per night for. Need your water in the morning? Dress up and get down to pay for it. No complementary water bottles, no kettle with tea and coffee, the water from the tap smells. God forbid you schedule travel in a cold season. The windows are drafty and cold. Bring extra night insulation and a warm night cap if you are not expecting that. No pleasant breakfast places.
