    After most of the issues we complained about were fixed, we settled in and tried to make the best of

    The apartment is spacious and in an excellent location, with a beautiful view of the Old City buildings from the windows.

    When we arrived at the apartment, we found a broken toilet—water was running constantly. The internet didn't work, there was a foul odor coming from the bathroom, and the bathroom sink was partially clogged. It seems no one checked the unit before our arrival; consequently, we lost more than a full day and a half of our vacation waiting for maintenance workers to finally fix the issues. Even after that, the toilet would frequently get clogged. A nice oven, but it didn't come with a single baking tray!. No one was there to greet us or explain the basics of how things in the apartment worked. Communication was limited to phone calls with a secretary who wasn't always available. The only person we actually saw was Antonella, the cleaner; she made a great effort and was very kind and empathetic. Throughout the night, there was unbearable noise from the street—young people from nearby pubs were sitting on the steps of the alleyway, right beneath the apartment windows.
