    Great location, fairly clean and comfortable....BUT....

    The location was excellent. 5 minute walk to the shambles or a nice 20 minute walk the long way. Close to a supermarket too. Coffee and tea provided, sadly only 3 tea bags though 😂 kitkats were a nice touch! Free parking was a high factor in booking this place.

    Sadly a few things let this place down a bit. 1. Spare pillows in our main room had no pillowcases. 2. The bathroom has quite a damp smell and no lock on the door. The light goes out automatically, so don't try and have a relaxing bath or you'll end up in darkness. 3. The shower plug hole hadn't been cleaned of hair in quite some time I think, it was full. 4. The balcony windows are pointless unless you like the whole place to reek of weed from the downstairs tenant. Every evening without fail, we'd come home, open the door and be hit with the stench. You'd get stoned from second hand fumes it was so bad. Not pleasant sitting in stifling heat with the doors closed either!

    Very good stay considering the distance from the centre of York

    Really great place to stay for visiting York as it is only a short walk to the centre. The private carpark is also useful instead of having to pay for public carparks! We went shopping before we arrived to get all the essentials like hand soap and cooking supplies but when we arrived, all of the essentials were already provided which is good in case you forget anything!

    As it was a warm couple of days, we had to open the balcony door to cool the room down. With the door open, the smell of smoking from one of the other apartments came in which made it slightly unpleasant but nothing that spoilt the holiday.
