Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung in einer Gated Community. Um dorthin zu kommen, passiert man zwei Security Checks. Ideal für Leute, die Wert auf Sicherheit legen. Die Ciudad Mayakoba liegt direkt im Dschungel und ist trotzdem gut erreichbar. In 15 Min. ist man im Zentrum von Playa del Carmen, Tulum und Cancún sind jeweils ca. 45 Minuten entfernt. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet (z.B. Mixer, Waschmaschine + Trockner...). Schöner Blick vom Balkon auf die Pools/künstliche Lagune. Wir wohnten im 5. Stock, was durch einen Aufzug auch für eine gehbehinderte Person möglich war. Highlights der Anlage sind die kleinen privaten Pools sowie Jakuzzi und Grill auf der Dachterasse, die man als Bewohner der Residenz kostenfrei bei der Administration im Gemeinschaftshaus reservieren kann. Der Kontakt mit der Vermietungsagentur erfolgte rein über Chat - Schlüssel war in einer Box hinterlegt -, die Nachrichten wurden in der Regel prompt beantwortet und kleinere Beanstandungen wie fehlendes warmes Wasser am Anreisetag oder ein kaputtes Licht im Bad schnell durch den Hausmeisterservice behoben. Wir haben zwei Wochen in der Anlage verbracht und die Zeit dort wirklich sehr genossen. Klare Empfehlung!
Der Anmeldungs- und Registrierungsprozess im Vorfeld war etwas aufwändig. Man musste mehrfach Formulare ausfüllen und dort z.B. auch Passkopien und Kreditkartendaten für eine zusätzliche Kaution hinterlegen. Kam mir am Anfang etwas komisch vor, weil Booking selbst ja oft davor warnt. Hatte am Ende aber alles seine Richtigkeit. In der Wohnung selbst wäre eine Spülmaschine noch toll gewesen, aber das wussten wir ja im Vorfeld, dass es keine gibt. Waschmaschine und Trockner waren aber bereits eine große Hilfe.
