A charming, historic hotel.
Beautiful hotel close to the High Street and on a pretty square. The staff were friendly and helpful and the ambience was relaxed. My single room on the top floor was small but well thought out - just right for a short break.
The lighting wasn't as bright as I would like for reading.

Comfortable hotel in great position if a little pricey.
It is a very comfortable hotel in a convenient position. Our room was well appointed- comfortable bed and nice towels. The staff were very good and really helpful. Also liked that it is a relatively small hotel. We have used the hotel many times.
I felt it was overpriced. We were disappointed that the restaurant was not open. I sympathise it was due to the chef’s ongoing illnesses, but this had obviously the case for a while and it was unlikely to open in the near future Also didn’t like that were introducing a charge to have your room made up
