Lovely stay
The location was perfect and close to all attractions/city centre. The house was lovely and everything that you could have wanted. Had the best night sleep due to the beds being so comfortable. The only thing I can state for anybody visiting is that the sockets are standard sockets with no usb option so just remember your plugs, I forgot mine lol.

70th Birthday celebration marred by health and safety issues, not taken seriously.
Nicely decorated house. Very clean inside. Excellent location. Jack and Jill ensuite between twin and Master on top floor. Ensite double on first floor. 2 sitting rooms and one dining room so lots of space. Not overcrowded with extra beds.
Poor attitude from management. Patio had a 1/2 barrel of rotting plants and standing water that was bubbling and emiting noxious fumes. This was not dealt with promptly and we could not use the outside space for half our stay as not safe for children and unpleasant fumes anyway. This was eventually filled wth bleach, then sand and covered with a tarpaulin. What astounded me was the claim from the director that there was never a smell or risk to children in his opinion -an opinion that was formed 2 days after the barrel had been treated and despite having seen the video of the bubbles that can only have been caused by escape of noxious gases. As a medical doctor, I have to disagree with him. We also had a problem with a chair breaking under the sitter who was thrown on the floor. We found the screws from the loose leg on the floor. No serious injury fortunately. Despite photographic evidence, this was also dismissed by the director of Stays York. I Would never stay here again or any other property managed by the company because of the director's attitide.
