    Very expensive for what you get

    The location was quite nice in a calm neighborhood 15 mins from the city center. The breakfast was nice. The owner let me stay in a double room for both nights as I had booked 2 separate rooms for each night.

    The owner behaved very strange throughout my stay. He did not even say hi when I arrived and told me to take less fruit at the buffet in the morning (!?). Gave me a very uncomfortable feeling and did not seem to enjoy running the place. Very expensive for the quality of the room, it seemed quite old and run down. It’s unfortunate, but I don’t understand how this place can be rated so high.

    Lovely stay at Clifton Bridge Hotel in York

    Lovely room with excellent ensuite bathroom and great water pressure. Delicious breakfast and well looked after by Arthur. On site parking.

    Great place for an overnight stay within walking distance of the city centre yet peaceful location

    Clean comfortable and friendly. And a lovely walk from the hotel into the city centre via the riverside. Thanks for the tip!

    Very warm place and people which give me a happy ending to my UK trip.

    The room is cozy and beds are very comfortable, I sleep very well for the night I stayed. The host is very friendly and kind, he helped us to warm pizza with his kitchen when we arrived late in the evening, and offered us a very delicious breakfast which was not originally included within our reservation. And he helped us keep the luggage for half day after we check out and what even more kind thing he did was he drove us to the railway station which we were mare than grateful. I’ll for sure choose this hotel again if I come back to York and will 100% recommend it to anyone traveling to York.

    There’s nothing I think it needs to improved.
