    Booking.com should take care to make additional charges explicit for customers before they gets trapped

    Worst possible experience. The day me and my mom arrived was extremely hot due to heatwave. After 2 hours of check-in the host switched off the AC and started asking for extra money for it. AC is mentioned in the amenities list yet the couple (host) started to argue aggressively that additional charge has to be paid even if the actual fact is not mentioned in their booking.com page. They were asking for bank transfer which is impossible as I was unable to access my native bank account from Belgium. Even if I could, international bank transfer would take days to process the transaction. I tried to talk sense into them but they won’t buzz. My mom is a senior person and had a 24hr + long journey. Her not being able to sleep after and the scorching heat made her condition worse the next day. Even after explaining my mom’s situation they denied and continued their inhumane treatment. Next day I requested to accept cash and the lady was being so rude. I dont know how they have been running a hospitality service like this. Beware of such scammer . Interestingly after I paid a hefty amount next day, that lady said the AC is on weather control and won’t work, which she didn’t mention before taking my money . But we still couldn’t sleep as inside temperature was high due to heat retaining construction in Europe. I hope they don’t get to scam customers like this anymore.
