    beautiful and quiet surroundings, staff very helpful but bistro fell very short of expectations.

    Beautifully furnished room and great views with delightful countryside to walk in. Great shower.

    Our room was incredibly dusty. We were only offered the à la carte menu although we subsequently saw a guest eating what looked like a hamburger in the bar. The Byron Bistro is basic. We had our starters of pate and salmon both of which were pleasant. We had both ordered cod for our main course. The member of staff serving in the bistro took away our plates for the first course and then immediately brought out the cod dish. There was no time in between the two courses which was very unsatisfactory. Clearly the cod had been platted up and sitting on a hot plate and the fish was like “old boots”. We did not have a third course. The couple at the table next to us also had the cod and complained to the same member of staff that the fish was dry but had little or no response. We ended up paying £100 for a meal which was at best mediocre.

    Very beautiful hotel and lovely location

    Night time staff were a bit blunt and not really sure what’s going on but day time staff were so polite and very helpful
