Just ok. Nothing to write home about
Room was comfy, bed was good. Nice and quiet.
Doors, mirror, air conditioner all had dust on them. You could wipe your finger on them, loads of dust came off. Tub faucet had soap scum on it, for awhile, because it was hard. Closet had garbage left over from last person. If you walk to end of hallway and look out the window, it's COVERED with dead flies, cobwebs, ect. At 7 p.m. coffee in lobby was stone cold.

The room smelled dry musty and damp and the tub looked like it hadn’t had a good cleaning in awhile…..ring in the tub and the water faucet appeared to have not been cleaned

Unwelcoming with a pungent odor of cleaner and pot smoke
Not much..
We had stayed at the Comfort Inn the previous 2 nights in Marquette. We thought as good as that hotel was, that the one in iron mountain would be just as good. No ambiance when you walked in, and clerk provided us no information such as when and where breakfast was, or even where the room was located. When we got to our room it was old form of slide key card. We had 2 cards, first one did not work despite several attempts, second card worked after six swipes. When husband left to go to vending machine he couldn't get back in the room with either card and I had to let him in. When you walked in there was a very bitter smell from cleaning products that appeared to be covering up stench of pot useage in the room, there was also a black stain on top of one of the comforters. Overall bad experience and my husband said we will no longer book hotels until we see what the staff and entry look like as that is al we would have needed to know this hotel was not welcoming. Stench of pungent detergent and pot smoked pillows was just an added surprise. Just realized our stay in Marquette was under husbands name - Tim Olson 218-330-5963.
