The hotel was generally very clean and nice, and the staff members were kind. The location wasn't bad, even though the parking lot was a bit small, and on the third night we had trouble finding parking. Our room had a nice view, but the smell from the recently plowed field did get into it. bed was made fresh after the first night we stayed, and the room and appliances were kept very cleanly. The bathroom was also quite nice.
While I understand that the nature of the complaint I am about to deliver is more to do with the other people staying there and not the hotel itself. However, I do still feel as if the hotel failed to properly respond to the situation. There were some very rowdy people staying in the hotel while we were staying there. Running up and down the halls, body-slamming each other into the hallways and doors, screaming, and just generally causing a ruckus. They were up most of the night and kept me and my partner awake the whole night, two of the three nights we were there. Unfortunately, nothing was done to prevent this from occurring after the first night, and there was no response the first night to enforce the quiet hours expectations. I normally don't like to complain about this sort of thing, but if the hotel received complaints the previous night about the offending party, I would expect that there would be some sort of consequence if those actions were to be repeated. It took another guest in the hotel getting fed up with their behavior and screaming at them to go to bed to mostly make them stop on the second night. For the amount that I paid to stay there, I would hope that my partner and I could get some decent rest and that staff would have someone or something to enforce the mandatory quiet hours posted. That wasn't the only thing, though; these were just more minor annoyances again, given how much was spent on the hotel compared to the quality of the room we got. The parking lot was a bit small, and we had a hard time finding parking the third night of our stay. The other thing is that the field behind the hotel had clearly been recently fertilized, and it kind of left our room smelling like cow manure the whole time. Again, not really the hotel's fault, and normally I don't mind the smell so much, but at least in our room the smell was very strong, and for the amount spent I would hope to walk into a room with a refreshing smell to help relax.

GM is shady. Thankful for other front desk help.
HUGE shout out to Tyler who not only canceled our reservation the day of, because they oversold the hotel but also lied about it, throwing another employee under the bus and leaving her to clean up the mess. $300 is gone and is a fight to get back. I appreciate it, Tyler! They price gouged terribly because it was an event weekend at Spooky Nook. For the lack of cleanliness and the state of the rooms, it's not worth $200+ per night. (Was charged $300 for Saturday night and $200 for Sunday). The only positive is that it's very close to the event space so it's convenient for early call times. But next year, we'll find somewhere else unless they get their pricing under control.
