  Updated appliances don’t keep cockroaches out or homeless addicts away.

  We liked that it was close to Zilker park, seeing as we were there for ACL weekend 1. We liked that there was a bus stop nearby, and that it was a condo so we could potentially meet other girls next door easily. The unit itself had updated appliances for the most part. The entire group was made up of 4 girls including myself.

  For starters, we were taken by surprise at the amount of homeless people and clear drug usage directly outside the complex. We were very disappointed with the lack of communication regarding the surrounding area. While we were not disappointed in the unit itself (at first), we were not made aware in the listing that the area is unsafe until we arrived. As women staying here alone it was extremely unsettling, especially at night, to be outside or go near the gate of the complex. As I previously mentioned, the nearby bus stop was one of the key attractions we were looking forward to utilizing during our stay. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the bus stop both days and nights. When 2 of us arrived Thursday afternoon, we decided to walk over to Jalisco to eat (right around the corner of the street). Homeless people were talking to us and yelling at us from across the street. We didn’t want to risk anything further at night. We waiting for our other 2 friends to arrive, pick us up, and take us back to the condo. The next 3 days of the festival were chaos because we wanted to avoid the late night bus stop. We decided to drive to our nearest friend’s house (20 minutes west) AWAY from Zilker, leave my car safely parked at hers, and uber from her house to the festival. Very disappointing. Combined, we paid hundreds of dollars in Ubers, fetiis, and parking. We also found a huge roach in the bathroom Saturday once we got home, and it ran to the kitchen upon our roommates discovery. Pictures to follow. I'm not sure how this would happen since we were maintaining the space and were on the second floor, but we searched thoroughly through our clothes and bedsheets. Unfortunately, half of our party was very uneasy about bugs and could not get past it. This caused the entire group to proceed with even more caution the remainder of our stay. Additionally, the second bar stool had a screw fall out and the chair was no longer useable.

  Exceptional

  The gated entrance, neighborhood was a little sketchy with homeless people. Noticed a presence of more police officers in the area and the gated entrance was a plus.
