Absolutely wonderful!
We really loved our stay at Corinthia Brussels. The hotel is beautiful, very stylish and everything feels fresh and new. Our 38 m² Deluxe Room was perfectly comfortable for us with our seven-month-old baby. There were lots of little details that made us feel welcome. A cot with a cute animal mobile was prepared for our son, and there were cookies, a delicious little pastry and a welcome card waiting for us. The spa is absolutely wonderful and we really enjoyed it. The food was also excellent. We loved the breakfast, had a lovely dinner at Palm Court and also tried room service. Room service was especially nice — everything arrived on a properly set table with little flowers. We were travelling with our baby and our tiny dog, and everyone was very welcoming. Our dog even received a little silk scarf as a gift, which was such a sweet surprise. The staff were always happy to help us with the stroller and luggage, valet parking was very convenient, and we were given a late check-out until 2 pm. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked another stay for January.
There is no ramp at the main entrance, which is a little inconvenient with a stroller, although the staff were always there to help us. There was also one slightly strange situation during dinner at Palm Court. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and taking a few photos, and our waiter asked us not to use the flash. At the same time, there was a private event in the adjoining room with professional photographers whose flashes were actually shining directly into my eyes. So being asked not to use our own flash felt a little unfair. To his credit, the waiter apologised when he brought us the bill later that evening. And when we were checking out the next day, a manager also came to us personally, apologised again and said that the situation was unacceptable. We really appreciated the way they handled it. These were small things and did not change how much we enjoyed the hotel.

Disappointing, primarily because of the poor room AC and mini-bar cooling, bad Palm Court food, confused communication,
The public areas are physically beautiful and clean, with high ceilings, marble, subdued colors and art, comfortable furniture. The linens and toiletries in my room were appropriately luxurious, plumbing and water worked well, the king-sized bed was firm, and the in-room espresso machine worked well. With one exception, the staff I encountered were polite and generally pleasant even though there were hand-off errors. Palm Court (the casual dining and coffee area near the entry) is also a beautiful space with nicely separated tables and soft chairs, and live piano music later in the day.
I spent three nights here in early October in a “Grand Deluxe” room advertised as 775 sq ft. I chose a 5-star hotel primarily for relaxing after 24 hours of international travel, before starting a tour. For over $900/night, I was disappointed. The biggest problem was inadequate room AC. Although it was only 70–72°F outside, my travel thermometer showed that the room would not cool below 24°C/75°F, despite the thermostat being set to its lowest setting, 19°C/66°F. Opening the window wasn’t a practical alternative: my first-floor room faced a climbable awning, it rained one night, and street sirens were frequent. When I reported the excess heat to management and specifically requested a fan to help cool the room, maintenance inexplicably arrived with a portable heater. Eventually I got a cooling fan, which I had to run whenever I was in the room. The advertised 775 sq ft was misleading in practical terms. Much of it was a large hallway, walk-in closet and bathroom, leaving the actual bedroom/living area surprisingly small, with limited storage. The bathtub was pretty but narrow and uncomfortably tapering in width at the bottom, with no grab bar, bath mat or nonslip ribbing—uninviting and a safety concern. Each nightstand surface was blocked by a fixed light control panel, drawers and shelving were limited. The minibar barely cooled: my thermometer measured 18°C/64°F the first day,15°C/59°F thereafter. Before arrival I had requested, and received confirmation for, sparkling water and a bucket of ice to be there at my 15:00 check-in. Neither was there. On rerequest, they brought an uninsulated champagne bucket. When I reasked, specifically for an insulated, lidded ice bucket, staff later brought two sheets of ice cubes frozen together in plastic. I had planned cool an injectable medication in the mini-bar; the manager offered access to a “freezer,” which I declined because freezing would destroy the meds. Food was another disappointment.
