  A wonderful little home away from home

  Excellent place, we stayed 10 days, and combined work and leisure. This is a very quiet residential area. Parking is very easy, there was always plenty of space to park around the property (I parked in the same space every time during my whole stay ;)). Bonus, if you like dogs, there are plenty of neighbours with extremely friendly canines ;) The house is well appointed: washing machine, fridge, freezer, hob, microwave, oven, cutlery, pans, dishes, etc. Nothing missing There are 2 bathrooms, and while the upstairs shower is a bit small for the larger/taller individuals, the second loo is a fantastic thing to have. The upstairs bedroom is very spacious, you can put your luggage away once you've unpacked, there's plenty of space to move around. Nice little kitchen with everything you need, and a nice living room. It was a bit chilly to make use of the garden extensively, but it was nice to be able to go outside and sit in fresh air with a cup of tea. The house is brilliantly located: just 6 or 7 minute walk to the South Gyle train station, and about 10-12 minutes to the Bankhead tram stop. Tip: check google maps to optimise your walk, there are plenty of footpaths under arches, between buildings, that save a lot of walking time compared to following the road. Go explore the area. Then if you need to shop, there's a Morrisons + M&S at Gyle Centre, which is 5 minutes away by car. Plenty of other shops (Boots, etc) at the shopping centre, have a look at their website. For breakfast, we went to Westgate Farm a couple of times, which has a breakfast buffet (Scottish breakfast) + unlimited hot drink for 10£ per person. The house is well located close to road connections, making it easy to go West or North to explore. The host, Donna, is extremely responsive and very helpful with any question you may have, before or during the stay. An absolute pleasure to deal with. We'll be back! ;)

  Highly recommend perfect quiet location. Easy parking and close proximity to the city.

  Location, Clean, Comfortable, Parking, Everything. Just a 5min walk to the train and 10 min train ride and you are in Edinburgh. Host communication was excellent. Highly recommend.
