    Everything at Rowan and Emily was fantastic. Comfortable beds, perfect size kitchen for quick meals or breakfast, well equipped. Decor cool and tasteful. This was the best property we have stayed on so far. I would absolutely recommend this property to York visitors.

    Verschrikkelijk

    De locatie ligt op een prima locatie en alhoewel het een oud pand is met klemmende deuren en ramen ziet het er verder prima en gezellig uit.

    We hebben helaas een heel slechte ervaring met deze plek gehad, ik zou er samen met mijn man en twee dochters vier nachten slapen maar we voelden ons genoodzaakt na de tweede nacht ‘s ochtends uit te checken. Wij wonen in een stad en zijn wel geluid van de straat en buren gewend maar tijdens de tweede nacht hebben we onacceptabel veel geluidoverlast gehad van de ‘bovenbuurman’. Van half twee ‘s nachts tot een uur of zes in de ochtend. Je deelt met deze persoon dezelfde ingang naar het portaal waar de voordeur van de accommodatie is. De buurman was aan het schelden en schreeuwen en met deuren aan het slaan, aan het bonken en het klonk zelfs alsof hij met spullen aan het gooien was. Hij klonk erg agressief en onvoorspelbaar. We konden absoluut niet slapen en mijn kinderen waren erg bang. Ze lagen met hun handen op hun oren bij ons in bed te bibberen. Ik heb zoiets nog nooit meegemaakt. Wij zijn na die nacht vroeg in de ochtend uitgecheckt en hebben ons geld voor de twee resterende nachten teruggevraagd. Ik heb daar in eerste instantie geen reactie op gekregen. De volgende dag kreeg ik een automatisch bericht over het uitchecken, waarop ik nog een bericht heb gestuurd en toen kreeg dik pas een reactie. De host erkent de overlast maar is niet bereid ons te compenseren omdat ze vinden dat ze daar niet verantwoordelijk voor zijn. Maar een goede nachtrust hoort wel degelijk bij de overnachting die je boekt. Booking geeft ons ook gelijk maar kan niets betekenen omdat de kosten rechtstreeks naar deze host zijn gegaan. Wees dus gewaarschuwd als je deze accommodatie boekt.
