Excellent comfortable cottage to unplug and a stones throw away from many days out

We loved the massive back garden with tennis court, it was perfect for our toddler to stretch her legs! We loved the unplugged feeling of this cottage, it may be lacking in modern facilities for some people but it was just what we needed. The best thing about it was how close it was to the local farm, shops and all sorts for days out.

I feel like it should be mentioned on the property details that there are two rather large craters in front of the house (I assume from ww2 bombing?), we were able to keep our toddler away because she's well behaved but for a house that's meant to be dog and family friendly, I feel that is an important thing that needs to be mentioned. I also wish there had been some blankets to cuddle up with, as it was all laminate flooring and leather seats, it was a little bit chilly. I also wish that the curtains were more black out, it was too light in the spare room to put our little one to bed as we went in summer when the evenings were still light. I'm not sure it was made clear enough that it is right next to a bypass with constant flowing traffic, there was barely any noise inside the house and it didn't really bother us at all but for others it may disturb them if they think they're going for a country get away & maybe this is accounted for in the price (I am aware that maybe this is obvious if you look at the map you can see it's right next to it, but things can be missed and the sound is loud and constant!)

Very enjoyable stay. Lots of lovely places to visit nearby

We loved the house. Cosy and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. Our little dog enjoyed the big garden.

There was traffic noise in the garden but not a problem indoors.

    Amazing remote stay

It was a great house with a really big garden, which the dog really enjoyed. There was a thoughtful welcome basket and the hosts were very accomodating with us. There were enough chairs outside for the four of us to sit. We brought a couple of rackets but there were extras there. The table tennis was a really fun activity to have. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed to cook meals.

The duvet was quite thick for the time of the year, and it would've been good to have a couple more hooks in the bathroom for towels and in the big bedroom for coats.
