A lovely, cosy and well-equipped flat in a great location, perfect for a comfortable stay in Whitley Bay.

The location is excellent, with supermarkets and cafés conveniently close by. The flat is well equipped for longer stays, and the Wi-Fi has been reliable for working remotely. It feels lovely and cosy without being cramped, and I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the kitchen is. The flat is also nice and warm, and the shower has consistently good hot water. Overall, a really comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

There really isn’t much to mention, just a few little things that might be helpful for future guests. Being a top-floor flat, there are naturally a few stairs and doors to navigate, which can be a little tricky with lots of luggage. Street parking can also be quite busy, so finding somewhere close to unload isn’t always possible. I experienced this when I first arrived, although I appreciate that’s part of staying somewhere so central. I personally found the pillows a little uncomfortable, but that’s very much down to individual preference. Perhaps a couple of extra oven trays or dishes would also be handy for anyone staying a little longer and cooking regularly. Otherwise, I’ve been really happy with the flat and have actually extended my stay!

Good location as long as you stayed away from the town, which is very run down. Great transport links and great walks along the waterfront to Cullercoats and Tynemouth.

There was a heatwave. The shower didn't work properly, and we didn't know where the fan was that was listed in the amenities. We did ask about this on the second day to be told there wasn't one. However, on our third and last day, we were called by the host to say there was one in a cupboard in the stairway outside of the flat. The flat was in the attic, so we were boiling. The host sounded nice enough and offered to look at the shower on our last day but we were going out and didn't want a stranger amongst our personal things and space when we weren't there.
