    A real home from home - lives up to its name!

    A very comfortable and characterful cottage in a lovely part of the world. Cosy Nook is extraordinarily well-equipped and a real home from home. There are loads of thoughtful touches that make all the difference, including such things as teabags, toiletries, and comfy dressing gowns. The whole cottage was spotlessly clean. As an old cottage, there are some low beams (we are both 6 foot plus) but (again, thoughtfully) they have been padded in strategic locations and I tested the padding more than once to my satisfaction! It has a great little garden and parking right outside was always available and easy. Pub is close by as is an excellent village shop/cafe. We live on the other side of Exmoor and so obviously know the Northern part better. Turns out there is plenty to do down this way also with Bideford, Westward Ho! etc in easy reach. The nearby Quince Honey Farm (South Molton) is absolutely superb and well worth a visit. There is a huge amount of information on local attractions that has been helpfully compiled by the owner, so you can plan your days out.

    A characterful old thatched cottage in a rural setting.

    Quiet location for sleeping. Good location for the places we wanted to visit. Cleanliness. Helpful and speedy contact with the host when needed. Control of heating and plenty of hot water. The Wifi worked well.

    We missed having a shaver point. The property is not suitable for very tall people, due to low ceilings with beams, but it was ok for us of small/average height. This property doesn't have a welcome pack, so guests need to come with their own milk, etc.
