    Waste of money

    The kitchen was very well equipped and the cottage was very clean inside but not outside. Enclosed garden for the dog.

    Uncomfortable mattresses and being told by the owner that he doesn’t receive any bad comments therefore the mattresses are fine. The pillows are very uncomfortable and consequently we were in pain and discomfort. I don’t believe this and this cottage is booked week after week and there are only a couple of recent reviews. (See photos) The location is shocking. There are not nice walks around the area and you need to travel at least 40minutes to Cromer or Norwich as there is nothing in the area. The garden is unkept and full of ants crawling on the garden furniture. The windows are full of spider webs and there is no excuse by saying the cottage is in the country as the spider webs were there at our arrival. There are no screens around the door therefore the kitchen and lounge fills with flies, disgusting! The decor is bizarre and if you have a phobia for mirrors, spiders, ants and other crawlers, don’t go. (See photos) The second bedroom has a bathroom with a very deep bath but not shower screen and it is dangerous for children or elderly people. (See photos) The other bedroom has a shower but despite it was cleaned, there was a lot of mould (see photos). I am very upset about the positive reviews about this cottage that I am doubting if the negative reviews on booking.com are published. Our experience at this cottage can only be summarised as a total waste of money and we had to go back home earlier.
