    Quirky,, nostalgic and lots of love gone into making this stay like home.

    It was quirky and we loved all the little touches esp the chalkboard welcome, the pantry and fridge supplies even though we didn’t need all of them. Location was fine, on a main road but you were not disturbed by the traffic noises.

    Not so much didn’t like but, we could not always get TV to work over the 3 days and it was small for the size of room,suggest updating to 65 inch or 75 inch smart TV; a couple of small coffee side tables would also be good. In the kitchen you need scissors. I’m short so trying to get up the steps to landing out back was a struggle, needed to hold onto posts to pull self up, this could be easily fixed by adding one more step to the ground. Other than those few improvements, we loved our stay and would recommend or come back. Loved the PAy it Forward - didn’t have anything so brought some more pegs for the clothesline. Thankyou for all the thought which has gone into your place, brought back childhood memories.

    Le welcome basket fait toujours plaisir. Maison authentique, décorée avec goût et très propre. Emplacement fortement recommandé, calme et proche de tout.

    Perfect location

    We had a wonderful stay at Cottage 135. The host was incredibly responsive, promptly answering questions and offering helpful advice throughout our visit. The cottage has been beautifully retrofitted, giving it a unique charm while still feeling comfortable and well-maintained. It was also exceptionally well stocked. After a long day of travel, we especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the jam, and fresh loaf of bread—such a welcoming surprise. Having a car made the location perfect for getting around, exploring nearby sites, and enjoying the surrounding trails. We would absolutely recommend staying at Cottage 135 and would happily return again!

    Great retro cottage to stay in when visiting Rotorua

    Lovely cottage in a good location outside the main part of town. Loved the décor, and appreciated the welcome note and snacks - would recommend
